Personal Smart Home Integration
This application provides a private connection between Google Nest devices and a personal Home Assistant installation.
What the application does
The integration uses Google’s Smart Device Management API to enable compatible Google Nest cameras and doorbells to work with Home Assistant.
Depending on device capabilities and permissions, features may include:
Viewing camera streams
Receiving doorbell press notifications
Receiving supported camera motion and activity events
Creating local smart home automations
Who can use it?
This application is intended exclusively for personal, non-commercial use by the owner of the Home Assistant installation. It is not offered as a public service.
Data and privacy
Google Nest data is accessed only with the account holder’s authorisation and is used for personal smart home functionality.
